Dreams really do come true...

Well, it looks like it might actually happen... something we've wanted for years...

Now, we just have to pick up this:

Because we're going to Ireland!! We've been pseudo-planning this trip for years, and it looks like we're finally visiting the emerald isle this spring! (Perfect timing for our wedding anniversary too). Here are some of the flavors that have us hooked:

Why Ireland? 1. It is inexplicably alluring. 2. We did not get our fill of ruins in Scotland. 3. Celtic music, in all of its flavors, is fabulous! 4. Very old + modern + Irish spirit = fascinating and worthy of firsthand experience!

So my question is - does anyone have tips on what we MUST see?

A few days in Dublin are on the plan, including a visit to Trinity College, a peek at the Book of Kells, and plenty of great music and pubs; driving across the country and exploring various ruins; gaping at the Ring of Kerry and that famous lonely, winsome, and windswept rocky green coast of Ireland.

And of course, many, many photographs.

Any other suggestions from fellow adventurers? Send me a note!

New Product!

StudioXplore recently launched an awesome new product! Instead of choosing a predetermined number of printed proofs as part of your wedding package, you can now purchase a press-printed hardcover book with all of your proofs. Please see below for more information and an example. This is not an album, but rather a record of all of your images, with filenames printed below the images. This is perfect for family members who may not have access to the internet but would still like to see and order prints.

This may become a standard part of future packages, but for now, it's available as an add-on. Please feel free to contact me with questions!

These proof books can also be great for family photo sessions; other sizes and configurations are available for family photo sessions.

Welcome to the new year!

Wow, have I been a holiday blog-slacker. I hope your holidays were wonderful, and that 2008 is off to a great start! My husband and I had a busy holiday season, visiting lots of family members and eating far too much delicious food. Of course, I snapped a few holiday pictures, and I've included a few of my favorites of my little nephew Zachary and his mom Amy below.

Aren't they so precious? He is such a happy baby, and much adored!!

Does anyone set new year's resolutions? I find I usually break them right away if I actually set them, so I refrain from resolutions these days. I do, however, always have hopes for the new year. I have high hopes for this one... and one main hope is to keep growing StudioXplore. I have been so thrilled with the work that came my way in 2007, and so thankful for all of the opportunities I have had! It's been wonderful, and I look forward to 2008 with high hopes.

Wishing you the realization of all your hopes for 2008.
